• I spoke to my contact at Superchips about the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner part # SU2845 for your 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with the 5.3L V8 engine and they informed me that the displacement on demand (DOD) system cannot be disabled unless an octane file from the tuner is installed on the vehicle's ECU. Once you have uploaded a canned tune from the device to the vehicle you will then be able to adjust certain parameters such as disabling the DOD system.

• For the best performance, a radiator fan like Derale 12 Inch High-Output, Electric Radiator Fan, # D16925, should be mounted directly against the radiator. If there is a gap, less airflow will go through the radiator and it will not be as efficient. If you do not want to use the included mounting straps, I would find another way to mount it directly against the radiator for ideal performance.
